ULTRA is a Tkaronto scene zine that began during the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to come together safely. We hope to revive the kinds of exchanges we once had in spaces we can't access right now so our community continues to grow. ULTRA loves love. We celebrate difference and not hate.
Everything ULTRA publishes is community-sourced. If you plan on submitting, THANK YOU. Submissions are always open, but keep in mind we publish on the first of every other month, beginning in February (then April, June, August, October, December). Submissions received at least one month before the publication date will be considered for the following issue (e.g. subs received by Jan 1 are considered for February 1 issue and so on). We look at everything and will get back to you whether we can accommodate your work or not. For a sense of v i b e, we encourage folks to peep the current issue and/or visit the archive.
Please note we prioritize Tkaronto BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIAP, womxn and other historically under-represented voices. If you wish to include this in your submission, we will keep it to ourselves unless directed by you to do otherwise.

At this time, ULTRA is a labour of love, which means we can't promise payment. As we get going, we hope to change that. For now, we can't express how grateful we are to have cats like ♡ you ♡ .
